Walkthrough

Begin your journey in Harrow Town. After receiving your starter from Prof. Jasmine, battle your rival (who chooses the starter weak to yours). Head west to Route 401 where you'll find level 3-5 Pokémon. Arrive in Lauren Town and prepare for the first gym.

Important Battles

  • Rival (First Battle) (Treecko/Torchic/Mudkip Lv5)

Your starter will be Lv5. Use type advantage and potions if needed.

Items

  • Potion - Harrow Town (from Prof. Jasmine)
  • Poké Balls - Route 401 (hidden in northwest corner)

Julia's rock-type gym features Geodude and Nosepass. Water and Grass moves are super effective. After defeating her, you'll receive the Stone Badge and TM39 (Rock Tomb), enabling use of Flash outside battle.

Important Battles

  • Gym Leader Julia (Geodude L12, Nosepass L14 Lv12-14)

Mudkip's Water Gun or Treecko's Absorb work well. Catch a Lotad on Route 401 for additional coverage.

Tips

team-building (high)

Balance your team with at least one strong Water, Electric, and Ground type to handle the variety of gyms

exploration (medium)

Check every house and talk to every NPC - many give useful items or TMs

battles (high)

The Physical/Special split is implemented - pay attention to which moves use Attack vs Special Attack

items (medium)

Save your Rare Candies for level 45+ when leveling becomes slower

glitches (high)

Avoid using Walk Through Walls codes as they can corrupt save files
